Janie passed away January 15, 1997 from brain cancer. At her request, she was cremated and her ashes were spread at Hart Lake in Mammoth by her husband of 30+ years, Lanny Lehigh (Class of 60) and her family. Working in a male dominated industry, she became the first female meat cutter/merchandiser for Vons Grocery Company. Janie loved to have fun. We will all remember the parties on Avenue A in the Kneisler rumpus room after a night of hanging out at Frosty's.
