d. Nov. 27, 1994. Dick moved with his family from South Pasadena to Hermosa Beach in 1932. He attended Pier Avenue School and graduated RUHS in 1941. During WWII, Dick was a line officer for the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946, Lt. J.G., Amphibious Service, So. Pacific Theater, aboard the USS Lycoming.
