• 1971 Graduated West Point Military Academy
• Obtained a Master's degree in Spanish Arts and Letters
• West Point Instructor
• Operations Officer, Experimentation Command, Fort Ord, California, testing the Apache Helicopter and HMMVVV (Hummer)
• Awarded many decorations including Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Expert Infantryman's Badge a,d Army Ranger Tab
• 1991 Retired from the Army as Lieutenant Colonel

Memories

I was fortunate to truly enjoy many aspects of the RUHS experience. Classes with Dr. Vincent Rothemich (math), Dr. Richard Hoyme (English), Mr. Wayne Roy (social studies) and many other dedicated teachers, prepared me surprisingly well for the academic rigors of West Point. Team athletics, Key Club, the High Tide, school dances or spending free time with my best friend, Gary Liddell (with whom I will keep in touch) made those four years fly by. Thank you Redondo High and congratulations on your first 100 years.
