• Re-elected four times, currently this is her 13th year on the board
• 1998 chosen Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce a "Woman of the Year"
• Education advisor to Congresswoman Jane Harman, State Senator Debra Bowen and Assemblyman George Nakano

Memories

Looking back at my high school years, I must admit I had little or no aspiration for greatness. Math and science wer impossible subjects. Who would have guessed that life would require I maintain the financial records for our family business and a number of local, non-profit organizations. So, what were the high points for me at RUHS? I certainly enjoyed participating in the canteen and by making a number of life-long friendships. I also found time to become involved in many social causes and community activities that proved to be formative, and have remained important to me throughout my adult life. I am grateful for the years I spent at RUHS and for the opportunity I now have to promote the Sea Hawk experience and education to all graduating Hermosa Beach eighth graders.
