• Completed work at UCLA on his Bachelor's degree in Meteorology while in the US Navy during World War II
• 1970 Named Publisher of the Daily Breeze, holding the position for nine year
• 1978-1988 Served as Vice-Chairman of Copley Press
• June 2000 Among Torrance Chamber's honored 95 most influential business and civic leaders
• Unfortunately, Hubert had passed away in January, 2000, one day before his 78th birthday from complications of Alzheimer&$039;s disease
