Gloria [Gentry] Snyder
Accomplishments
- Active member of the Redondo Beach Historical Society
- She had collected over 5,000 books on California and the South Bay
- The Los Angeles Times sought out Gloria for her historical knowledge, as did TV's 60 Minutes
- The old library located in Veterans Park in Redondo Beach is dedicated in her name
- Mother of vivian [Snyder] Callahan, also a Distinguished Graduate from RUHS
Memories
My mother's time at RUHS solidified her love for education, music, literature and history and laid the groundwork for the significant contributions she made to our community.
