Memories

Having spent most of my early formative years as a resident of Redondo Beach, along with my parents and seven brothers and sisters, I am proud that we were all part of the RUHS community. Of the eight Horii children, seven of us graduated from RUHS, while the eighth, a younger brother, graduated from a high school in a war relocation center in Arizona. I gained my creative spirit from the wonderful art teachers, Hermione Allison and Caesar Hernandez. Too, I gained my love of scientific matters from my science teacher, Mr. Doss. I have many fond memories of my years spent at RUHS and I remember some fellow students such as Milford Clark, Arnold Dixon, Ned Patton, Margaret Mort Pettitt and Dick Wheaton.
