Accomplishments

• Received Bachelor's of Science in Political Science from Occidental College
• 1956 Founded Morgan Moore Stationers in South Redondo
• The first success led to three more stores
• 1958 Founded the South Bay Postal Services
• Maintained US Postal contracts at his stores for 46 years
• Was President of the Redondo Chamber of Commerce, President of Redondo/Riviera Rotary Club, President and founding member of Redondo Beach Round Table, and President of Riviera Village Association (two terms)

Memories

I have observed over the years that some classes stand above others. I believe 1947 was one of those classes. So many of my classmates have lived distinguished lives, raised families and achieved greatly. Seven of us attended and graduated from Occidental College in 1951. I am honored to receive this award. Since I only left the South Bay to attend four years of college and two years of military service, I had the opportunity to later spend a great deal of time with classmates and teachers. Who could forget the four "enforcers": Grant, Striff, Seifert and Uhls? They had the "Big RUHS Paddle" and weren't afraid to use it. They all became my personal friends after their retirement. These were great years for all of us. We were truly blessed.
