Accomplishments

• "Scotty" worked 32 years for Pacific Bell Company before retiring
• After retiring, he became interested in the old Ridge Route
• His objective was to get it placed onto the National Register
• In 1997, 17.6 miles of the original highway was placed into the National Registry in Washington DC
• After several years of research, he authored the book, "Ridge Route: The Road that United California"
• Hourell Houser, noted television personality, featured this work in an hour-long episode of, "California Gold"
