Memories

My fondest memories of RUHS are of the choir with Mr. Misenheimer and performances in the variety shows. Also, the athletic department with coach Striff and his booming bass voice, which carried across the whole field when he yelled at you during track practice. Being a cheerleader was also a lot of fun. The summers spent at Avenue C, playing two-man volleyball on the beach were great. Also working for Ralph Mann at the Mobil Station in Redondo. This job came about after I ran over a gas hose while getting gas. While trying to pacify Ralph, I asked him for a job and he said yes. This began a lifelong friendship, which continues to this day. Other memories include the Portuguese Bend Club, and driving up to Marineland to see a girlfriend named Anna who worked there.
